Our Story

A North Shore Tradition Since 1931

Designed by renowned architect Wayne Stiles, Gannon sits on the outskirts of the Lynn Woods Reservation — one of the largest municipal forests in the United States.

Originally known as "Lynn Woods Municipal Golf Links" and affectionately called "Happy Valley," the course was built during the Great Depression as an innovative public works project employing over 1,500 Lynn residents. Renamed Larry Gannon Municipal Golf Course in 1975, the Tudor-style clubhouse continues to welcome members and daily-fee players alike.

With bent-grass greens, blue grass fairways, and a challenging yet fair 18-hole layout, Gannon has provided the North Shore with outstanding conditions for over 90 years.
